When a bill becomes past due :
- A late fee is usually assessed. (Typically 10-15% of the bill.)
- If there is still no payment made, an attempt to collect payment is made for the outstanding balance.
- If the late payment withdraw is unsuccessful, bills may be charged to the property as an unpaid utility portion.
When this happens, the monthly fee and late fee remain on your SimpleBills account available for payment but the bill portions are sent to your property. Payment of those bills is worked out directly with them.
