Possibly! We understand utility bills are most likely through your property or set up in a roommate's name. When you set up a new utility account, a provider might ask for a letter of credit from your previous provider to show your reliability.
If you have had good payment history then this might be available for you. While we can't guarantee a provider will take our letter of credit, we can request one if your account meets the following standards.
- You have an inactive SimpleBills account, and it has not been closed for more than 90 days.
- You have good payment history! You have not had any late payments or a single nonpayment.
If your account meets these standards, reach out to us with the address you would like a letter of credit for and we would be happy to request it!
